Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

Abstracts of articles should be provided (not more than 100 words long).

Articles should be up to 5000 words (inclusive of references).  We will endeavour to have reviews back within 4 weeks.  Re-reviews will be expected to be back within 2 weeks.  All reviews are carried out anonymously.

Book reviews should be up 2500 words (inclusive of references)

Articles and Book reviews should be single spaced, pitch 12, Times New Roman with in-text referencing and a separate document of references.

Italics should be used rather than underlining.

Articles should be submitted as Microsoft Word files (doc or docx format).

Images and tables should be provided as separate editable files and should not be embedded into the submission. They should either be in jpeg or png format. Their placement within the text must be clearly indicated within the text (eg. insert figure 1 here).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The following metadata must be provided with each submission:

    • an abstract of not more than 100 words (not required for book reviews)
    • Keywords (six to eight).
    • Authors biography (approx 100 - 200 words)
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format (docx or doc). Any images or figures must be sent as separate editable files and not embedded into the submission. It is the author's responsibility to obtain copyright permission to reproduce images in their submissions.
  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  4. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
