Author Guidelines

All submissions should be emailed to theheretic@st-andrews.ac.uk.

Please ensure that your article complies with the following guidelines, and we look forward to reading your work!

  • All undergraduate students in Divinity are eligible
  • To be published and reviewed anonymously by our Editorial Board
  • Max. 5000 word articles on a Divinity topic of your choice
  • Chicago 16th Edition Citation Style
  • Word document (once edited uploaded in PDF)
  • Font size 12
  • Font Calibri

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point Calibri font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
