Introducing Martyria (and Farewell to The Heretic)
2026-01-06
With the publication of The Heretic’s final issue (Spring 2023), the School of Divinity launches Martyria—a new annual, peer-reviewed student journal. Submissions are now invited.
Notice: The Heretic ceased publication following the 2022–23 academic year. The School of Divinity has since launched a new student journal, Martyria, welcoming submissions from undergraduates, recent graduates, and early postgraduates. We warmly invite submissions via our website: https://ojs.st-andrews.ac.uk/index.php/martyria
This was a journal run by Divinity Undergraduates for Divinity Undergraduates in the University of St Andrews to discuss ideas, topics, and even academic publications pertaining to Divinity.
This Journal published short articles and was reviewed by a team of Undergraduate reviewers. This Journal provided the opportunity to practice writing for the public domain, to flesh out ideas and opinions and have them challenged by a peer, something we don’t usually get to do as Undergraduates.
◼︎Please note that ALL REVIEWS were PUBLISHED ANONYMOUSLY, and ARTICLES had the OPTION of being PUBLISHED ANONYMOUSLY.
